Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture of 4 years duration from ICAR accredited Universities/Colleges.
• Candidates must also possess a 2-year Master’s Degree in Entomology from ICAR accredited Universities/Colleges.
• Desirable qualification includes a Ph.D. in the relevant subject from ICAR accredited Universities/Colleges.
• Desirable experience includes UG/PG teaching, research, and extension work in recognized projects or organizations.
• Desirable research profile includes publications in peer-reviewed (NAAS rated), Scopus indexed, Web of Science, or UGC-CARE listed journals.

Age Limit (as on 24-11-2025)

• Upper age limit is 40 years for men on the date of notification.
• Upper age limit is 45 years for women on the date of notification.
• No separate mention of minimum age or category-wise age relaxation is provided in the notice.

Salary/Stipend

• Teaching Associates with a Master’s Degree will receive Rs. 61,000/- per month plus HRA.
• Teaching Associates with a Ph.D. Degree will receive Rs. 67,000/- per month plus HRA.
• The remuneration is consolidated monthly pay with applicable HRA as per University norms.

Selection Process

• Selection will be through a walk-in interview conducted at Agricultural College, Bapatla for the post of Teaching Associate in Entomology.
• The engagement is purely temporary and contractual, and will be terminated after completion of 11 months or on filling of the regular post, whichever is earlier.
• The selected candidate will have no claim for regular appointment in the University or any government organization.
• The selection committee’s decision regarding selection for the post will be final and binding in all respects.
• The Associate Dean reserves the right to cancel or postpone the interview due to any unavoidable circumstances.

• Candidates should bring all relevant original certificates and documents relating to educational qualifications, experience, and other credentials.
• Candidates may also carry copies of their publications and any supporting documents related to teaching, research, and extension activities.
• Selected candidates will be required to undergo a medical examination at their own expense to ensure physical fitness before appointment.
• No TA/DA will be paid to candidates appearing for the interview.

• The contractual engagement will automatically end after 11 months or upon filling of the regular post, whichever is earlier, without any further notice.
• Engagement can be terminated at any time without prior notice or assigning any reason.
• The engaged person may resign by giving one month’s notice or paying one month’s salary in lieu of notice.
• Concealment of facts or canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification at selection or termination during the contractual period.
• No TA/DA is admissible for attending the walk-in interview.
• The selected candidate must undergo medical examination for physical fitness at their own expense before appointment.
