Eligibility Criteria for ESIC Hospital Senior Resident / Specialist 2025

1. Educational Qualification

• Senior Resident under Three Year Scheme: MBBS with PG Degree/Diploma/DNB in concerned specialty OR MBBS with two years working experience in concerned department. Preference will be given to PG Degree qualified candidates. For ICU Senior Resident posts, MD/Diploma/DNB in Medicine, Anesthesia or Pulmonary Medicine with critical care experience, or MBBS with 2 years’ experience in Critical Care may also be considered.
• Full Time / Part Time Specialist: PG Degree/Diploma/DNB in concerned specialty from recognized university and registered with MCI/Karnataka Medical Council. Preference will be given to PG Degree candidates.
• Specialist for Accident & Emergency may be from MD Accident & Emergency or MD Medicine/MD Anesthesia or Diploma/DNB in Anesthesia / MD Pulmonary Medicine / Diploma/DNB with intensive care experience / DM or Diploma/DNB in Critical Care.

2. Age Limit

• Senior Resident under Three Year Scheme: Not to exceed 45 years as on date of interview; relaxation for reserved categories as per rules.
• Full Time / Part Time Specialist: Not to exceed 67 years as on date of interview.

3. Nationality

Salary/Stipend

• Senior Resident under Three Year Scheme: Pay band in Level-11 plus other allowances applicable under ESIC Staff Conditions of Service Regulations, 1959; deduction of Rs. 1,350/- if only Diploma is possessed and deduction of Rs. 2,250/- if no Diploma/Degree is possessed for the post-specific requirement.
• Full Time Specialist: Fixed remuneration of Rs. 1,27,141/- per month including transport allowance; DA on transport allowance as per rules.
• Part Time Specialist: Consolidated remuneration Rs. 1,00,000/- per month; Rs. 20,000/- for emergency call visiting charge; additional remuneration Rs. 1,200/- for every additional hour beyond 16 hours/week; duty 4 hours per day and 4 days in a week.

• Walk-in interview at ESIC Hospital Peenya, Bengaluru, on scheduled dates for each cadre.
• Scrutiny of applications, verification of original documents and eligibility criteria at the time of interview.
• Selection by the competent Selection Board; decision of the Selection Board will be final and no further correspondence will be entertained.

Instructions

• Recruitment is purely on contractual basis; selected candidates will have no claim for regularization of services.
• No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the walk-in interview or joining the post.
• Selected candidates must join immediately or within 15 days from receipt of offer of appointment.
• Hostel accommodation/quarters/uniform/transport allowance will not be provided.
• Candidates seeking reservation/age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS must possess valid certificates in prescribed Central Government format; otherwise they will be treated as General category.
• Private practice is strictly prohibited; selected candidates will receive non-practicing allowance where applicable.
• For Senior Residents under three-year scheme, a security deposit of Rs. 95,000/- (DD/Banker’s Cheque in favour of “ESIC A/c No.1” payable at Bengaluru) is required; part of the amount may be appropriated if contract is terminated within one year.
• For Full Time/Part Time Specialists, a security deposit of Rs. 30,000/- (DD/Banker’s Cheque in favour of “ESI Fund Account No. 1” payable at Bangalore) is required.
• Selected Specialists must obtain a professional indemnity policy with minimum annual sum assured as prescribed for their specialty and submit copy within 7 days of engagement.
• The ESIC reserves the right to increase/decrease vacancies, cancel the recruitment process at any stage, and to decide on full-time/part-time engagement as per service needs.
