ESIC Chennai Faculty 2025 Vacancy Details 

Eligibility Criteria

• Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor: Educational and teaching requirements as per NMC-Teachers Eligibility Qualifications 2025 for department/post
• Maximum age 67 years on interview date
• Must be registered with State Medical Council/NMC as applicable at time of appointment

Salary/Stipend

• Professor: Rs. 2,52,405 per month (consolidated); In October 2025: Rs. 2,67,120/-
• Associate Professor: Rs. 1,67,844 per month (consolidated); In October 2025: Rs. 1,81,368/-
• Assistant Professor: Rs. 1,44,201 per month (consolidated); In October 2025: Rs. 1,57,392/-
• Transport allowance with DA on TA as per rules, with pay revised as DA rates change

Age Limit (as on interview date)

• Maximum: 67 years

• SC/ST/PWD/Women/Ex-Servicemen: Nil
• All other categories: Rs. 500/- (Demand draft in favour of “ESI Fund Account No.1” payable at Chennai; only scheduled banks, after advertisement date)

Selection Process

• Document verification before interview
• Eligible candidates: walk-in interview before selection board on scheduled date
• Screening test (MCQ) may be used if applications exceed 10 per post; test marks not counted for final merit
• Selection based on interview performance only

How To Apply

• Download and fill application form (Annexure B) from notification
• Attend walk-in interview on scheduled date with filled form, DD, 2 photos, all certificates (original and copies), and testimonials
• Verification between 09:00–11:00 AM on walk-in day; latecomers not permitted

Instructions

• Engagement is purely contractual; tenure up to 5 years (renewal/annual review) or age 70 years, whichever earlier
• No right to regular appointment or benefits like PF, pensions, etc.
• One post application per interview except for Emergency Medicine/ICU/Super Speciality (separate forms for multiple applications)
• Candidates already in service must bring NOC and relieving order at joining
• No TA/DA for interview or joining
