ICMR Young Professional-II Recruitment 2025 Vacancy Details 

Eligibility Criteria

• The engagement is purely on temporary contract basis in the Policy and Communication Division of ICMR.
• Young Professional-II (Technical/Scientific) (General): Post Graduate degree in Life Sciences / Pharmacy / Social Work / Sociology / BAMS / BSMS and MD in AYUSH with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university or institution with one year post qualification experience in the related field.
• Young Professional-II (Technical/Scientific) (Statistics): Post graduate degree in Statistics, Data Science, or related field from a recognized university or institution, with a minimum of 55% marks.
• Candidates must meet the essential eligibility criteria including qualifications, age, and experience, and original documents will be verified at the time of the walk-in interview.
• Candidates already in regular service under any Central/State Govt./Autonomous Department/PSU are not eligible to apply for these positions.

Age Limit

• Young Professional-II (Technical/Scientific) (General): Less than 40 years of age as on the date of the advertisement.
• Young Professional-II (Technical/Scientific) (Statistics): Less than 40 years of age as on the date of the advertisement.
• Age relaxation will be as per rules, and the cut-off date for age limit will be the date of the walk-in interview.

Salary/Stipend

• Young Professional-II (Technical/Scientific) (General): Consolidated emoluments of Rs. 42,000/- per month; no House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be paid.
• Young Professional-II (Technical/Scientific) (Statistics): Consolidated emoluments of Rs. 42,000/- per month; no House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be paid.

Selection Process

• Candidates are invited to attend a walk-in interview on 17th December, 2025 at 09:30 AM.
• Only candidates fulfilling the required eligibility criteria and after verification of original documents by ICMR will be eligible to participate in the interview.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview; candidates have to arrange their own transport and accommodation.
• The Director General, ICMR reserves the right to consider or reject any application or candidature at any stage and to cancel/modify the process at any time.

• Candidates should bring the filled-in application form (format copy attached with the notification) along with original documents for verification.

Instructions

• The positions are purely on temporary contractual basis under the Policy & Communications Division, ICMR Hqrs., New Delhi.
• The initial term of engagement of Young Professionals will be for one year, extendable for two more years (one year at a time), subject to requirement and satisfactory performance, with a maximum duration of three years.
• Persons engaged in these positions shall not have any claim on a regular post in ICMR or in any of its Institutes/Centres or in any Department of Government of India.
• Benefits like Provident Fund, Pension Scheme, Leave Travel Concession, Medical claim, Staff Quarters and other facilities applicable to regular staff of ICMR are not admissible.
• Submission of wrong or false information during the selection process will disqualify the candidature at any stage.
• Canvassing or bringing outside influence in any form for interview or employment will be treated as disqualification.
• The DG, ICMR reserves the right to terminate the Young Professional position during the contract period without assigning any reason and to prepare/frame a panel of waitlist candidates valid for one year.
