Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Ph.D. in Life Sciences or Biological Sciences.
• Minimum 60% marks or first class or equivalent grade in Ph.D.
• Degree must be from recognized universities/institutions.

Mandatory Experience

• Experience in LC-MS based proteomics is mandatory.
• Must include sample preparation, instrument handling, and data analysis.
• Candidacy will NOT be considered without LC-MS based proteomics experience.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Experience in mammalian tissue culture.
• Molecular biology expertise.
• Biochemical assays experience.
• Peer-reviewed publications showing experience in the above areas.
• Candidates with publications demonstrating proteomics expertise will be preferred.

Age Limit

• Not more than 35 years as on date of walk-in interview.
• Age relaxation may be considered for candidates with higher qualifications/experience (with prior approval of competent authority).

Selection Process

Interview Based Selection

• Selection through walk-in interview.
• Screening committee will evaluate candidates based on qualifications and experience.
• If candidates are large in number, the institute may restrict interviews to a reasonable limit based on screening committee recommendations.
• Candidates with additional qualifications/experience above minimum may be preferred.

Important Selection Points

• Minimum qualifications and experience are bare minimum requirements.
• Mere possession of minimum qualifications does not entitle a candidate to be considered.
• Additional qualifications and experience must be clearly mentioned in the application for better evaluation.
• Interview date is the criterion date for determining age, qualifications, and experience.
• If selected candidate does not join or resigns, waitlisted candidates may be offered the position.

Salary / Remuneration

• Monthly consolidated emoluments: ₹80,000 per month.
• Tenure: Initially for 1 year, extendable for further period subject to continuation of project and satisfactory performance.
• Funding: Position is funded by Private Agency (project-based).

Important Terms & Conditions

• Appointment is purely temporary and contractual.
• Will terminate automatically without notice or compensation on project termination.
• No claim for permanent appointment in IISER Pune or Funding Agency.
• Appointment will be governed by funding agency terms and conditions.
• No TA/DA admissible for interview.

Job Description / Responsibilities

• Handle LC-MS based proteomics experiments.
• Analyze proteomics data at cohort level.
• Set up cell models and biochemical assays for validating findings from proteomics experiments.
• Contribute to research publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Work on project-specific research objectives.

Candidates reporting after 10:30 AM will NOT be considered for selection.

Documents Required at Walk-in Interview

• Duly filled prescribed application form (download from official notification).
• Original and one set of self-attested photocopies of: date of birth certificate, mark sheets and certificates from 10th onward, and all experience certificates as mentioned in application.
• One government issued photo identity proof (Aadhar, PAN, Passport, Driving License, etc.).
• One recent passport-size color photograph.
• Publication list/CV highlighting experience in proteomics, tissue culture, molecular biology.

Important Instructions

• No online application required – walk-in interview only.
• Bring all original certificates for verification.
• Bring self-attested copies of all documents.
• Reach venue well before 10:30 AM reporting time.
• Candidates late by 10:30 AM will be rejected.
• No interim enquiries will be entertained.
