IIT Gandhinagar Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2025 Vacancy Details 

Eligibility Criteria

• M.Sc. or BS-MS in Chemistry from a reputed institute in India.
• Minimum 60% or equivalent grade from Graduation onwards.
• Minimum 55% or equivalent in class 10th and 12th.
• GATE or CSIR-UGC NET qualification.
• Good knowledge of Inorganic and organometallic chemistry (desirable).
• Some experience in synthetic chemistry (desirable).
• Good communication skills (desirable).

Salary/Stipend

• Remuneration: Rs. 37,000/- per month.
• HRA is admissible if campus accommodation is not availed.
• The appointment is initially for one year, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a PhD position based on performance.

• The position is in the Main Group Organometallic Chemistry Lab at IIT Gandhinagar headed by Prof. Priyabrata Ghana.
• The appointment is for one year in the project funded by Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF).
• The position may be converted to a PhD position or extended up to a maximum of three years, subject to satisfactory performance.
• The candidate will work on designing and synthesizing low-valent transition metal complexes for catalytic conversion of small molecules (e.g., N2, NH3, H2, CO, CO2, ethylene) into value-added chemicals.
