Eligibility Criteria for IIT Roorkee JRF 2025

Essential Qualification

One of the following:

• M.Tech / M.E. / M.S. in Thermal Engineering or equivalent specialization with valid GATE score
• OR B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering with valid GATE score and experience in fluid-thermal simulation

Job Description

• Numerical simulation of boiling heat transfer in nuclear rod bundles
• Modeling departure from nucleate boiling (DNB) using Eulerian-Eulerian CFD framework

Selection Process

• Walk-in Interview
• Document verification followed by personal interview
• No written test

Application Fee

• All Candidates: Nil

Salary/Stipend

Consolidated fellowship of ₹37,000/- per month (No HRA provided).

Candidates must appear in person on 06.12.2025 at 10:30 AM with:

1. Application on plain paper with detailed CV (including academic chronology)
2. Original + attested photocopies of:
   • All degree certificates & mark sheets
   • Valid GATE scorecard
   • Experience certificates (if any)
   • Photo ID proof
3. Original documents must be produced for verification

Note: No TA/DA will be paid. Preference will be given to SC/ST candidates on equal qualifications and experience. Selected candidate may get opportunity for PhD admission.
