Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification (Essential)

• MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution (in India or abroad).
• Must be registered with Delhi Medical Council (DMC).
• Valid DMC registration certificate is mandatory at the time of interview.

Experience

• Fresh MBBS graduates are eligible.
• Candidates who have completed one year of Junior Residency elsewhere are also eligible.
• Candidates with more than one year of Junior Residency experience are not eligible (may be considered only if fresh candidates are not available).

Age Limit 

• Maximum age: 33 years.
• Age relaxation for SC/ST candidates: as per Government of NCT of Delhi rules.
• Age relaxation for OBC / PH (Persons with Hearing Impairment): as per Government of NCT of Delhi rules.

Reservation Rules

• Reservation will be applicable as per Government of NCT of Delhi norms.
• OBC candidates must have an OBC certificate issued by the Government of NCT of Delhi only.

Walk‑in Interview Schedule

How to Appear for LBSH Junior Resident Walk‑in

• No advance online application or pre-registration is required.
• Candidates must report at Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital on 13-02-2026 between 09:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
• Registration closes at 11:00 AM; late candidates will not be entertained.
• Candidates must appear in person with original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies.

Documents to Bring

• Original MBBS degree certificate.
• Original Delhi Medical Council (DMC) registration certificate.
• Age proof: Birth certificate or High school (10th) certificate – original.
• One set of self‑attested photocopies of all above documents.
• One recent passport‑size photograph.
• Valid ID proof (Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter ID etc. – recommended).
• Any other relevant certificates or experience documents (if applicable).

Important Instructions

• This recruitment is purely on ad-hoc basis for 44 days and does not confer any right to permanent appointment.
• Candidates must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria (qualification, age, registration) before appearing for the interview.
• All original documents must be produced at the time of verification; failure to produce originals may lead to disqualification.
• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the walk-in interview.
• Reservation and age relaxation will be followed as per Government of NCT of Delhi rules.
• OBC candidates must possess an OBC certificate issued by Government of NCT of Delhi only.
• Vacancy number may increase or decrease depending on actual requirement at the time of interview.
• Medical Council (DMC) registration is compulsory for eligibility.
• If no suitable candidate appears on 13-02-2026, the interview date may remain open for up to three weeks as per hospital decision.

Selection Process

• Walk‑in interview on 13-02-2026 at Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital, Delhi.
• Verification of educational qualification, DMC registration, age, and category certificates.
• Personal interview and assessment of merit and experience.
• Preparation of merit list based on interview performance and eligibility.
• Medical fitness check, if required by the hospital, before final joining.
