Eligibility Criteria

Medical Officer (On Contract)

Essential Qualification: MBBS Degree or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register.

Desirable Qualification: Post Graduate Qualification, preferably MD in General Medicine, or equivalent qualification as per the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, and registered in State/Indian Medical Register.

Age Limit: Maximum age not exceeding 50 years on the date of interview.

Interview Details

Venue: Board Room of the Administrative Building, NIT Jamshedpur, Adityapur, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand 831014.

No TA/DA: No Travel Allowance or Daily Allowance will be paid for attending the Walk-in Interview.

Certificate Verification: Candidates will be interviewed only after verification of certificates; all original documents must be produced at the time of interview.

Selection Process

• Selection will be through Walk-in Interview on the specified date and time.
• Candidates must bring a duly filled application form in the prescribed format along with required enclosures and photographs.
• Original certificates will be verified before the interview.
• Preference will be given to experienced doctors.
• The decision of the Institute in all matters will be final and binding.

Required Documents

Candidates must bring the following documents in original along with one set of self-attested photocopies at the time of interview:

• 10th / Matriculation / SSLC Mark Sheet.
• +2 / HSC Mark Sheet.
• Consolidated Marksheet of Degree.
• Degree Certificates.
• Medical Registration Certificates (State/Indian Medical Register).
• Certificate of CRRI (Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship).
• Post Graduate degree certificate (if applicable).
• Medical Registration Certificate for Post Graduate qualification (if applicable).
• Experience Certificates from all previous employers (if any).
• ID Proof: Aadhar Card / Driving License / Passport / PAN Card or any Government ID with address.
• Recent passport size photographs.
• Duly filled application form (as per prescribed format).

Terms and Conditions

• The appointment will be purely temporary on contract basis.
• Educational and other qualifications will be recognized as on the date of interview.
• Candidates will be interviewed only after certificate verification.
• The selected candidate must undertake tasks as required to contribute to departmental development.
• Must follow the rules and regulations laid down by the Institute / Hospital administration.
• Must adhere to ethics and etiquettes of medical practice and maintain the dignity and decorum of the Institute.
• No other allowances or accommodation will be provided by the Institute.
• One Casual Leave will be allowed for every completed 45 days of service; no other benefits are admissible.
• Leave can be availed only with permission of the Competent Authority.
• Preference will be given to experienced doctors.
• Admission to the interview is purely provisional subject to fulfilment of eligibility conditions.
• Any incorrect information in the application may lead to rejection of candidature or termination of appointment.
• The number of vacancies is tentative; the Institute reserves the right not to fill the post and to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason.
• Canvassing in any form or bringing influence will be treated as disqualification.
• No correspondence will be entertained regarding the selection/interview process.
• Any dispute regarding the selection process will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Seraikela Kharsawan court only.

• Report for the Walk-in Interview on 13th February 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Board Room of the Administrative Building, NIT Jamshedpur.
• Bring duly filled application form in the prescribed format (application form is attached with the official notification / available at venue).
• Carry all original certificates and one set of self-attested photocopies.
• Bring recent passport size photographs.
• No online application is required; this is strictly a Walk-in process.
