KCC transcript #23769

JAMMU AND KASHMIR · PULWAMA · Fertilizer Use and Availability

Query

Regarding the wilting of leaves following urea application?

KCC answer

The apple plant is wilting because too much urea was used. Excess nitrogen pulls water away from the roots, blocks other nutrients, and burns the leaves. To fix it, water the soil well, avoid more fertilizer, and use compost to restore balance. If the plant doesn’t recover, a soil test will help.
