SEED RATE : FOR PLAINS AREA : USE 1 KG OF SEED/KANAL FOR LINE SOWING. IN CASE BROADCAST SOWING, USE 1.5 KG/KANAL IN MAIZE CROP
Weed Management : Atrazine herbicide @ 100 gram/kanal in 25 litre of water should be sprayed on soil surface with in 2-3 days as pre- emergence application to control weeds
NUTRIENT DOSE : 1.) APPLY NUTRIENT DOSE IN MAIZE CROP ( IRRIGATED CONDITION) UREA DOSE - 7.25 KG/KANAL , DAP DOSE - 6.5 KG/KANAL, MOP- 2.5 KG/KANAL DRILL ENTIRE QUANTITY OF P AND K ALONG WITH ZINC SULPHATE AND 2/3RD N AT THE TIME OF SOWING WITH PORA AS BASAL DOSE.
REMAINING QUANTITY OF NITROGEN MAY BE APPLIED AS TOP DRESSING IN TWO EQUAL SPLITS - 1ST WHEN THE PLANTS ARE KNEE HIGH STAGE I.E A MONTH AFTER SOWING AND 2ND BEFORE TASSEL FORMATION I.E ABOUT TWO MONTH AFTER SOWING
